This zone is one of the most scenic areas in Sri Lanka which is quite similar to Nuwara Eliya in climatic aspects. Cool and comfortable climate in Haputale-Diyatalawa persists throughout the year with a slight increase of it in the months of January and December. Adisham bungalow built during English colonial period which is now a monastery has been a popular tourist attraction in the zone where you can visit only during weekends, school holidays and poya days to witness the beauty of the construction as well as the garden with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Another beautiful sightseeing spot where you can feel the life is Lipton seat located with the Dambathenna tea factory. Although, narrow roads would give you an adventurous experience , once you have reached the destination you would feel it is worth that you came, because you can see a spectacular view of five provinces from the spot on a clear day. The other most stunning places of the hill country that offer you a scenic view are Haputale Gap, Diyaluma Falls and Bambarakanda falls. Apart from sightseeing, you can taste most delicious up country tea and enjoy most spectacular train rides amidst splendid nature in this zone.
