'Pathana' in Sinhalese signifies a flat land, and Bambaragala Pathana is adorned with Eucalyptus and pine trees. At the edge of this flat land lies a cliff, offering breathtaking views. Legend has it that during the Rama-Ravana battle, the land's vegetation was destroyed. From the Bambaragala Pathana viewpoint, one can admire Namunukula Mountain, Buttala, Monaragala, Wellawaya, and Bibilegama, visible below the cliff. Remnants of artillery fixed points from the Colonial period can also be found near the viewpoint, as Bambaragala Pathana served as a strategic observation point during that time. Furthermore, it is a popular camping site. DIRECTIONS: To reach Bambaragala Pathana viewpoint, take the Ella – Passara road and turn onto Bambaragala road from Club Junction.
