Hortain Plains National Park

This was declared as a natural reserve in 1965 and a National Park in 1988. Also this can be categorized as the only park in the wet zone of Sri Lanka. This is spreaded over 3159.8 ha and situated in a height of 1800-2300m from the sea level .This eco system bears the especially with clouds in high mountains, forests and wet plains and number of inherent flora and fauna. Tourist attention is there with the elks, leopards, and some natural creation such as Baker’s falls and world’s end.
