Lunugamwehera National Park

This was declared as a national park in 1995 and it acts as a watershed to Lunugamvehera reservoir. This place is important as a block of area for the elephants, deer, aquatic birds and this place is important as a block of area for the elephants to migrate from Yala national Park to Udawalawa national park. The entrance for this place situated in Thekka Thawana (teak nursery) meets after travelling 1km from Thanamalwila to Thissa.
