Habbassa Archeological Site

This archeological site is full of ruins covering acres of land on the right side of the Kumbukkan Oya in Konketiya Grama Niladhari Division of Buttala Divisional secretariat Division. a statue can be seen there  of Buddha made of lime coating, stone caves carved with kataram, stairs, and stone pillars. According to the epigraph, there is information on paddy land offering to great Bikku by the  sub king named Naga who was a divisional ruler at that time. In that time this place was known as Naga Maha Viharaya and the distance to this place from Okkampitiya is 6km.
