The Veddha Community, one of the world whose main livelihood is hunting live in Mahiyangana – Dambana and Bibila- Rathugala regions safeguarding their ethnic identity. By touring in those regions, one can create an opportunity to acquire a thorough knowledge of their traditional dancing ability, their dialect and characteristics of their ethnic identity peculiar to them. Proceeding along Mahiyangana – Ampara highway for 17km and turning to the left at Dambana junction and proceeding for further 02km, one can get to Dambana, the village of (local aborigines) the Veddha Community.
